Etched in pink hued sandstone, Galtaji is one of the most popular places of pilgrimage in Rajasthan. Dedicated to the Sun God, the temple is also known as the Monkey Temple. The temple was constructed by Diwan Kriparam, an attendant of Raja Sawai Jai Singh II. Housing three holy tanks, people throng to the temple to take a holy dip in the water coming from gaumukh.
